Bulk add a new species from one you already have, with all its materials and mappings included, so you skip the one-by-one rebuild legacy software forces on you.
Legacy software makes you build a new species the hard way: duplicate or create each material one by one, then set up every mapping one by one. For a single new species that is twenty or thirty minutes of clicking back and forth, and an easy place to miss something.
Grainwork uses a species you already have as the template. Point it at your existing species, name the new one, and it creates every material with the same setup and carries the mappings across in one step. Adding walnut takes about fifteen seconds instead of half an hour.
It is just as good for variations. If you want to track a particular run or a slightly different version of a species separately, clone it, rename it, and you have a clean copy without rebuilding anything. The setup work is already done. You just point it at what comes next.
